There are references to him around I haven't found much linking him to Bangor (Nothing in the North Wales Chronicle - death notices etc) yet...

Belfast News-Letter - Friday 12 December 1834

Birmingham Gazette - Monday 19 January 1835

There is a list produced by Gwynedd Family History Society covering the main burial ground in Bangor, but I don't have a copy yet.

Where have you tried?

Mary Anne Jones 15yo born Llangefni shows as a pauper in 1851 with Owen and Anne PRITCHARD who maybe adopted her into their care? they were only agricultural labourers so she wasn't a 'servant'.

Owen Prichard 61
Anne Prichard 60
Mary Anne Jones 15

The trail to her being married to William and about Bangor is still cold..

Re: William bell Rogerson born 1798 dublin death april 1877 Bangor

From what I understand there are 3 sites in the village and numerous others dotted about the nearby villages. Coetmor is administered by Gwynedd County Council all the others (unless in Bangor - Glanadda Cemetery, Bangor or New Cemetery, Bangor) would come under various village/community councils.  There is also a risk given his short period there that he may have been taken to rest elsewhere.

Map of all 3 here

In Bethesda:

Bethesda Churchyard

Coetmor (is fairly new - postdates the death)

Hello.
I am thinking maybe that could be Mary Jones daughter she was in Liverpool 1871, called Mary Ann Jones She was born in about 1856 .so why would she go to stay with her !! if she was not her mother!!
she did have a daughter with William Bell called Mary Ann Rogerson born liverpool 1873 death was 1944 Llangefni
Mary Jones was  born about 1836   she was William bell  Rogerson Servant in Liverpool before she married him around 1872 /3 and moved back to wales around Bangor
William Bell passed away 1877 in Bethesda Bangor

Re: William bell Rogerson born 1798 dublin death april 1877 Bangor

I've had a speculative look at the Bethesda Church ground, it's far bigger than Street View suggests. I'm not sure what records they keep to assist. 20 minutes wondering about didn't find the grave but as you said there are plenty of plain RIP's, no headstones and headstones with worn inscriptions.

Re: William bell Rogerson born 1798 dublin death april 1877 Bangor

A search of the Findmypast website shows that a William Rogerson  of Bethesda was buried at Llangwyllog, Anglesey in 1877.

Re: William bell Rogerson born 1798 dublin death april 1877 Bangor

I see from another forum now that someone else with a copy of the Gwynedd Family History Society Memorial Inscriptions Book for Saint Cwyllog Church, Llangwyllog found no mention of William.

Re: William bell Rogerson born 1798 dublin death april 1877 Bangor

His burial is definitely recorded in Llangwyllog parish register. I've also checked the GFHS monumental inscriptions and there's no trace of Wm. Rogerson.  The gravestone may have disappeared or it may be that he never had one.

RE: William bell Rogerson born 1798 dublin death april 1877 Bangor

It seems that the churchyard was the only graveyard in Llangwyllog parish, and there are no Rogersons recorded there.  Do you know where WR's widow died?  He might be commemorated on her gravestone.

Hello again
 About Mary Jones ,
Just looked at the docket again it looks like this is a copy dated 19 Dec 1910 So that's the name i should think Sam Jones of the witness in 1910 maybe

Anneelaine thank you
