Re: Daimler ww11

The Daimler Company moved to Bangor in 1941, leasing a newly-built factory in Glanadda, for the production of aero-parts.  They also used a building alongside the Crosville Garage, and their administrative staff were accommodated in Penrhyn Castle. After the war, the factory buildings were taken over by Denis Ferranti Meters Ltd.

See John Cowell, 'Bangor at War, 1939-1945', p.64.

Re: Daimler ww11

Perhaps you can let us know if you find any Bangor material at Warwick University as many folk are interested in the WW2 history of the city.
