The Daimler Company moved to Bangor in 1941, leasing a newly-built factory in Glanadda, for the production of aero-parts. They also used a building alongside the Crosville Garage, and their administrative staff were accommodated in Penrhyn Castle. After the war, the factory buildings were taken over by Denis Ferranti Meters Ltd.
