A historical photograph by the Wickens Studio, Bangor of their Majesties, the King and Queen at Bangor at the time of laying of the foundation stone of the University on July, 9th 1907, the scene depicts a very busy procession with the royal carriage passing the Belle Vue Hotel in Upper Bangor

This is the late Mr Hughes; former hotelier of the Belle Vue in upper Bangor.

1911 Census for the Belle Vue Hotel Upper Bangor - also stated that the Belle Vue consisted of 15 rooms (inc. kitchen but excluding bathrooms)
