He died on 5th March 1908 at 21 Friars Road, Bangor (John Glynne Jons, Solicitor for the estate effects £6420 0s 3d)

Charles Pozzi & Co. FURNITURE DEALERS/BROKERS - as well as premises in Bangor were to be found in Caernarfon on Northgate Street in directories between 1903 - 1933 (http://www.carnarvontraders.com/furniture.html)

Charles (Carlo) Pozzi came from Lake Como around 1816. They settled in Liverpool and Bangor..there was a ships chandlery in Paradise St, Liverpool...they were scrap merchants, then carvers and gilders, travelling salesmen.... The old man, Carlo Pozzi, died at the Hen and Chickens pub in Birmingham around 1860. Three of his daughters married Italians, and lived in Naples, the other 7 children stayed in UK, except for John, the eldest, last heard of in Valparaiso.

XLC/1/2/583 EXAMINATION of John Hughes of 54 1906 Sept 26 Melinda terrace, Upper Bangor, Builder, John Pozzi of Caellepa, Bangor, Manager of Marine Stores, David Morris Jones, Police Sergeant No 13, stationed at Bangor and John Richard Jones, Police Constable No 72 stationed at Bangor, all of the County of Caernarfon re the case of John Wilson of London Place, Well Street, Bangor, labourer,Evan Evans of Union Street, Bangor, labourer and Cadwaladr Jones of Minffordd, Bangor, labourer. The defendants were accused of stealing 561bs of lead piping if the value of tenshillings, the property of Messrs Hughes and Jones, Contractors on 11 of September. 1906 at Bangor. Attached DEPOSITION of John Wilson, Evan Evans and Cadwaladr Jones, all pleading guilty to the charge against them of stealing the lead piping. Dated 25 September 1906

SAP is accused of stealing three bags of assorted rags of the total value of six shillings and a quantity of horsehair, the goods of Charles Pozzie of Bangor on 16 of August, 1907. Attached EXAMINATION of Charles Pozzie, John Richard Jones, Mary Davies of 51 Dean Street, Bangor, Marine Stores Assistant and Owen Morris, Police Constable No 24 stationed at Bangor, all of the County of Caernarfon re the case of Sarah Ann Pritchard of 8 Brook Row, Bangor, for the felony before mentioned. DEPOSITION of Sarah Ann Pritchard, pleading guilty to stealing the items as aforesaid. Dated 20 August 1907 RECOGNIZANCE of Sarah Ann Pritchard, to appear and receive judgement when called upon during the next six months on condition to be on his good behaviour. The defendant must pay a recognizance sum of five pounds and an additional sum of five shillings for costs. Attached EXAMINATIONof Charles Pozzie of Craig Beuno, Bangor, Marine Store Dealer, Edith Tynan of 24 Garden Square, Bangor and Police Constable Owen Morris No 24 of Bangor, all of the County of Caernarfon re the case of Mary Ann Mulholland as aforesaid. Dated 20 August, 1907 DEPOSITION of Mary Ann Mulholland, pleading guilty of stealing and is very sorry. All debts due to and owing from the said late firm at Bangor will be received and paid respectively toy tihe said Charles Pozzi, and all debts due to and owing from the said laite firm at Carnarvon will be received andi paid respectively iby the said Foulk Jones.—Dated this 13th day of October, 1920.
