An interesting article on todays BBC News website (
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-north-west-wales-18726458) where it states that:
"Plans are being drawn up to spend £2.1m to relocate Gwynedd Museum and Art Gallery in Bangor.
The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has paid £158,000 to help organisers push forward plans to move collections to Bishop's Palace, one of the city's oldest buildings."
Once (or If??) Pontio actually opens this could be a great area for the city. I've always thought that this area seems very closed off. Bangor is lucky to have so many green areas, yet for some reason we have built walls and put trees (that make it dark) around them. This has been a problem around here and the Tan y Fynwent area.
By knocking some down, I think the flow from the High Street to TyF onwards to this place could be great.
A better presence for the museum would be welcomed as very little know of the current one.
