Dolafon

This post was updated on .
"Babs" Bowen in the garden of Dolafon on Cyttir Lane 1937. It was demolished to build the A55 flyover. Water was collected from a spring pouring into an iron trough at the roadside. The lavatory was at the bottom of the garden, where the Afon Adda (cachu) would flush the effluent downstream.

John Charles Lucas was born there in 1879, at that time it was a cottage called 'Sellar' (may not be correct spelling). In 1921 or 22 it was altered and made into a 2 storied house and the name was then changed to 'Dolafon'.
